Disrupt ICT Announces Rebrand to Shift ICT.
To host Regional Summit on September 20th.
Disrupt ICT, a Think Tank focusing on bringing together thought leaders and people interested in disruptive technologies, today announced their rebrand to Shift ICT. This rebranding elevates the focus on the community at large. In the age of constant change, it’s crucial to be on the forefront of emerging trends and their positive effect on the business landscape.
“Following the recent Focus Forward Presentation by James Chung, we realized our purpose was much larger than just facilitating discussions around disruptive technologies,” remarked Jacob Wayman, Co-Founder of Shift ICT and Business Development Director at Cornejo & Sons. “Our purpose is to shift the mindset of the community through bringing together thought leaders; people who are challenging the status quo.”
To better communicate the brand, Shift ICT partnered with Daniel Drouhard of Colab, a design agency located in Wichita, KS to develop a brand that shares the vision of advancement, innovation, and movement. “The team’s desire to dramatically alter the existing identity lead to a flexible solution that functions beautifully across any medium or any market,” remarked Daniel Drouhard of Colab. “Shift resonates, whether it’s shifting perceptions, shifting the flow of talent, or shifting into fifth.”
“Shift is about changing our perspective to connect with new ideas, technology, and people,” said Jason Toevs, VP of Technology at Alyss Analytics and Co-Founder of Shift ICT.
Shift ICT will continue to host discussions, conferences, and keynote talks around disruptive technologies like blockchain, artificial intelligence, machine learning and the like while investing further in facilitating discussions on emerging topics that have a broader impact on the business community both locally and regionally.
“During the numerous Disrupt ICT events, people shared their excitement over the new focus on technology in the Wichita community,” said Dave Cunningham, CEO of Flint Hills Group and Co-Founder of Shift ICT. “We realized Disruption can have temporary and negative meaning where Shifting is a new movement towards a better direction across our region. As a result, we choose to Shift.”
To best communicate the voice of the new brand, Shift ICT is partnering with depICT Media, a social media management agency located in Wichita, KS. "Being part of this movement is core to the mission of depict Media,” said Jen Cole, Co-Founder of depICT Media. “Wichita has so much going for it, and it's truly amazing to be part of a group that is helping to grow our city's impact on entrepreneurs across the nation."
To keep the momentum going, Shift ICT is excited to announce the 2018 Shift ICT Regional Summit on September 20, 2018 that will bring in business leaders, community leaders, and entrepreneurs from communities throughout the Midwest who are challenging the status quo and paving the way forward in their cities. The Summit will be hosted at the new Advanced Learning Library from 8:00am – 4:30pm and will feature leaders from Wichita, Des Moines, Omaha, Lincoln, Boulder, Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City.
